The Effie Awards are marketing communications awards given yearly by Effie Worldwide, Inc, to honor the most effective marketing communications ideas. Its mission is to encourage effectiveness among the marketing communications industry through education and recognition.

Jubilant FoodWorks has been recognized with 2 Effies this year.

Jubilant Food Works bags Coca Cola Golden Spoon Awards 2012

Coca Cola Golden Spoon Awards (2012) recognized and honored the brave innovative spirit of leaders in the dynamic Indian food retail industry. The selection process involved inviting entries from the nation’s leading food service and food & grocery retailers across multiple categories.

Jubilant FoodWorks has won awards in 3 different categories in the Coca Cola Golden Spoon Awards 2012 on 12 December 2012 at Mumbai.

We have been recognized under the following 3 categories:
• Best QSR Foreign – Dominos Pizza
• Best Food Service Company : JFL
• Best New Brand / Company Launched : Dunkin Donuts

In their official entries, the contenders were asked to provide data relating to their performance for the year 2011-12 across two main heads.

1) Retail presence growth
2) Business performance.

The jury for Coca Cola Golden Spoon Awards 2012 included Atul Singh, President & CEO, Coca Cola India; Siraj A Chaudhry, Chairman, Cargill Foods; Abhishek Malhotra, Partner and Vice President, Booz & Company; Amit Lohani, Convenor, Forum of Indian Food Importers, and Amitabh Taneja, Chairman and Managing Director, Images Group.

The Trust for Retailers & Retail Associates of India (TRRAIN) was formed in 2011, with the vision of empowering people in retail and works to achieve immediate and lasting change in the lives of retail associates. The awards celebrate the hard work of front line staffs who delights all the customers through their exceptional customer services

TRRAIN gave away 16 Regional awards in Dec 2012 out of which 4 awards won by Domino’s ! The 4 Regional awards were bagged by following employees of Domino’s:-

Jubilant Food Works has been featured in Forbes list of 200 high-performing Asia-Pacific companies with revenue under $1 billion.

The 200 featured companies were selected from a universe of 900 companies on a set of parameters:
• To be considered companies must generate annual revenue between $5 million and $1 billion (U.S.)
• Have positive net income and must have been publicly traded for at least a year
• Ranked on sales growth, earnings growth and return on equity in the past 12 months and over three years

JFL recognised as Most Promising Company of the Year Award

Jubilant Food Works won the most promising company of the year at CNBC TV18′s India Business Leader Awards (IBLA) .The pizza and donut master franchisee had a 50% growth in revenue and profit and 80% gain in market capitalization.The competition was stiff as Hexaware , Indraprastha Gas , Jubilant FoodWorks , M&M Financial Services and Muthoot qualified for the top spot.

Previous years this award has been claimed by the likes of GMR , Asian Paints , Lupin and Thermax all mid-sized public listed companies but on the verge catapulting into the big-league! It’s that promise the jury was looking for in this year’s winner as well

Sunil Mittal, chairman & Group CEO, Bharti Enterprises and jury member, IBLA 2012, says-“ I think the jury has to be very conscious that the decision that they take in the favor of one out of the many nominees on a whole is the test of time and that five years down the line when you look back, one should feel that we did justice to that particular category”.
Raghav Bahl, MD, Network18 and jury member, IBLA 2012, says that we needed to see somebody who had launched a new business but had launched it with a fairly good pace and success in the initial year but also the fact that the business had the potential to become much larger in the coming years. And Jubilant fitted all these parameters very well.

From delivering happiness to strengthening relationships, Domino’s Pizza India unveils new brand positioning “Yeh hai rishton ka time”

India’s Pizza Delivery expert and market leader in the organized pizza home delivery segment announced the launch of their new brand positioning campaign “Yeh Hai Rishton Ka Time”. After spending four years with the emotional proposition of Happiness Home delivered- ‘Khushiyon ki Home Delivery’. Domino’s Pizza endeavours to deepen the engagement with consumers, through its new brand positioning that focuses on relationships and bonding.
Commenting on the new brand positioning campaign and tag line Mr. Ajay Kaul, CEO Jubilant FoodWorks Limited said “
After the successful run with our emotional positioning of ‘Khushiyon ki Home Delivery’, we believed it was time to take the consumer connect with the brand to the next level and hence this new positioning of Yeh Hai Rishton ka Time. We believe that it will help us continue the growth momentum and take the brand to the next level.”

Adding his thoughts on the brand’s repositioning, Mr. Harneet Singh Rajpal, Vice President, Marketing – Domino’s Pizza India said, “When we moved from ‘Hungry Kya’ to ‘Khushiyon ki Home Delivery’ in 2008, we took the first step in our transition from a functional fulfillment brand to an emotionally connected one. After four years of a fantastic run with this positioning, we felt it was time to evolve and anchor the brand in a deeper level of emotion. During this period, happiness sans emotion became diffused as more than 30 brands now have ‘happiness’ in their positioning statement. We now want to delve into a space and proposition which we can uniquely own. Our new positioning statement ‘Yeh Hai Rishton ka Time’ replays the fact that Domino’s time is the time which people spend together in a casual and informal way and it leads to the bonds, that people share, becoming stronger, warmer and more livelier.”

He further added, “The new positioning Yeh Hai Rishton ka Time would take us to a new level of emotional connect so that the engagement with the consumer is deeper and more enduring. Our constant emphasis with our brand repositioning would be to enhance and evoke happy memories of our consumers.”
The Campaign “Yeh Hai Rishton Ka Time” is conceptualized by Contract Advertising.

This new campaign would be supported by a Television Commercial and in store print elements like DHs, BTs, Translites, Banner, Bike Back, Hoardings, new brand website, promotion on social media etc.
