August 22nd was the universal “BE AN ANGEL DAY”!  So what if we missed it. We can still make it count.

So what is this “be an angel day”, you ask?
Be an angel day is celebrated every year on the 22nd of August and was first celebrated in 1993. The date of the 22nd was chosen because 22 is recognized as a master number in the study of the sacredness of numbers. The month of August was chosen as it is the 8th month among the 12 months. Eight has a numerical vibration of achievement, accomplishment, and fulfillment.

What do we do on “be an angel day”?
The main purpose of the day is to do something kind or good for someone!

How to be an angel on “be an angel day”?
Doing good things, no matter small or big, self-sacrificing or mundane, anything that you do definitely makes you feel saintly.  Our good deeds list might range from helping a person in need, helping elders, contributing to some good cause and so on. There are some other deeds that you could do to help our environment too. You get a detailed list of ten things that you on your part can do to reduce global warming here.

While there are so many good deeds you could possibly do on this day, here is another simple way to be an angel on this day with the help of Domino’s! This is a simple 3 step procedure!

Step 1:
Choose that one person who is special to you and to whom you are going to be an angel on this day! (Of course we are all angels at heart on any given day!)

Step 2:
Fix the time when you and the person are free today When its time, go pick the person and take them to the nearest Domino’s outlet!

Step 3:
Pick them any of our lip-smacking pizzas with the craziest toppings you want! Don’t forget to get them our new butterscotch mousse cake. Even if you live in another city or country, you can show you case by ordering pizza for them online. Think of your friend, you mom or anyone who you truly care about. Go ahead and do your good deed!

Hello, Angel :)

Happy Bad Poetry Day!

Bad Poetry day? Yeah, you read that right! The 18th of August is celebrated as Bad Poetry day. Belated Best wishes of the day to you! But why, you ask? But the real question is, why not? :)

We all have a poet inside us, but it’s just that some of us aren’t that great. So what? Let’s face it – not all of us can play with words, but why should that be a deterrent? Bad Poetry Day celebrates the hidden poet inside all of us, the one that is made fun of by others, the one that we embarrass ourselves with, the one that wrote many a verse and stashed it in the trash. It’s okay to write bad verse guys, ‘cos if not for us, how would the world identify the real poets? ;)

How this day began, is when a group of high school friends met up, wrote some really bad poetry and sent it to their high school teacher! It became such a hit that many followed suit.. Haha, fun isn’t it? That’s the whole point of Bad Poetry Day – to be pointless. :)

So go on, write out a few lines, send it to someone you like and make them laugh… Or, you can always try the old school teacher too ;) [Psst, maybe you can send them a Domino’s pizza along with poetry so they don’t get too pissed off with ya! ;)]

Here’s to all the Bad Poets of the World!

Hey, you’re a poet!
But you don’t know it.
Try writing some verse,
But don’t be terse.
Pick up pen and paper,
Write it all down.
Show it to others,
But never mind their frown! :D

If you have tried writing some bad poetry but never showed it to anyone, here is your chance to be rewarded for the attempt. Check out our Bad Poetry Contest.

And remember, life is too short to care about grammar! B)
