Discounted orders should create value, not hurdles. Once Domino’s confirms the order, registers the delivery address, and accepts payment, the agreement becomes a concluded service contract. The delivery partner is then duty-bound to fulfil the supply by delivering the pizza, not solicit extra money beyond the agreed price. However, certain delivery associates attempt post-confirmation coercion by demanding additional payment, and upon refusal, cancel orders unilaterally. This reflects not just poor execution, but potential malpractice. What may seem momentarily entertaining to insiders results, for Domino’s as a business, in real monetary loss, weakened delivery operations, and erosion of customer trust, ultimately causing long-term harm to the brand’s credibility and service promise.
