Ordered a ‘cheese overload’ pizza through the Domino’s app. The pizza was delivered with all the cheese spilled to one corner of the box. Seems as if it was carried in a tilted position or it was dropped during the transit. It was completely inedible. When I tried to raise a complaint on the Domino’s app, I was directed to contact the store. I called the store to raise a complaint. To my utmost disbelief I was told to have the pizza like this only as nothing can be done. I asked the store person to get it picked up from my home as I can’t have it like this but he denied that since the delivery is complete he can’t help me. How was I supposed to know that pizza is spoiled before making the payment and opening the box?! I then called the Domino’s toll free customer care number. Tried to get in touch with any agent but couldn’t get through to one even after listening to the IVR and shuffling between various menu options for about 15 mins. Seems Domino’s job is to just quickly deliver the order. They don’t care about the food handling or spillage part at all. You just can’t trust their delivery agents I’ve learnt. It’s a must to open and check all the boxes of the order delivered before making any payment. Forget about making any payment in advance. This is like harassing the customer. Alas, I ordered pizza (not domino’s) through Zomato and will do that only in future because they entertain food handling issues and are more concerned about their customers. Downright horrible and frustrating experience.
